Overview POSITILT® PTK

Conventional inclination sensors give incorrect values in moving applications. POSITILT® PTK inclination sensors compensate shocks, vibrations and acceleration utilizing a gyro-compensated MEMS-technology. Even under these influences POSITILT® PTK sensors provide correct measuring data with no delay.

POSITILT® PTK sensors are available in a ultra-compact 10mm flat stainless housing and in a stainless steel housing that fits redundant electronics. Both housing types are hermetically sealed and therefore suited for harsh environmental conditions. For underwater applications housing type PTK4 is availeble.

Applications

POSITILT® PTK series inclination sensors are the ideal solution for moving applications such as mobile machines, where shocks, vibrations and acceleration can affect sensor accuracy. For applications in harsh environments POSITILT® PTK sensors are available in robust hermetically sealed stainless steel housings.

The functional principle

POSITILT® PTK Series sensors measure inclination utilizing micro-electromechanic sensor technology (MEMS). With the dislocation of a small test mass in a spring-mass-system, they are able to measure the inclination of the system. Utilizing a gyro-compensation, disturbances like shock, vibration and acceleration can be eliminated.
